Have Walz’s back in the debate – set a goal and ask your guests to take action!
Asking your friends may seem hard, but it’s the best way to get them involved, and we’ve made this worksheet to help you through it. Your role in engaging your friends with what matters to them – and giving them the opportunity to fight for it – is essential to our winning the campaign!

Tips to Bring Some Joy
When your debate watch party has moments and content for your guests to share with their people, it creates a sense of FOMO (Fear of Missing Out), helping to spread the word and get others engaged. See below for some ideas for a fun debate watch party!
- Dress to Impress: Ask your guests to attend dressed like VP Harris (known for converse and pantsuits) or Gov. Walz (who rocks flannel shirts, jeans, and a camo hat).
- Games: Games like “debate bingo” or a “jelly bean guessing game” (counting how many times Walz says “wow” or “weird,” or Vance says the interviewer’s name) allow guests to make predictions and stay engaged.
- Sip and Drink or Eat and Meet: Offer Harris-Walz inspired foods and drinks, like “Midwestern roots beer” & “Piña Kama-das” or Harris-Walz favorites like Doritos and turkey legs.
- Pet-friendly: Allowing guests to bring their pets will allow for a higher attendance rate for pet owners. “The Underdogs pre-debate pack walk” and “Dogz for Walz” are examples.
- Playlists: Guests share Kamala and Tim-inspired songs.
- Harris-Walz on the Walls: Set up a table near an empty wall and answer with sticky notes “I’m voting for Harris-Walz because…” or “My favorite thing about Tim is…”
